Head of LingvaLexa Anna Vyshniakova Participates in Political Tech Summit 2026 in Berlin

On 23–24 January, Anna Vyshniakova, Head of NGO LingvaLexa, was on a working visit to Berlin, where, as a fellow of the Democracy Tech Fellowship, she took part in the Political Tech Summit – one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to the intersection of politics, technology, and democratic processes.

Political Tech Summit 2026 brought together participants from around the world, including policymakers, entrepreneurs, researchers, representatives of civil society, and media professionals. This year’s summit focused on the theme Power, Protection, Participation, exploring how digital tools and artificial intelligence shape the distribution of power, the protection of democratic processes, and civic engagement. The programme featured expert keynotes, panel discussions, workshops, and masterclasses addressing the role of AI in democracy, the transformation of political campaigns, the gamification of citizen participation, and challenges to digital security.

For LingvaLexa, participation in the summit is a logical continuation of the organisation’s strategic direction. We are convinced that integrating technology into criminal justice and human rights protection is a critical prerequisite for effectively countering contemporary threats, including propaganda and hate speech. Technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and analytical tools—enable stronger evidentiary bases, greater transparency of processes, and support accountability for the most serious international crimes.

Within the framework of the Political Tech Summit, Anna Vyshniakova also pitched Russian Media Observatory, an AI-based analytical platform developed by LingvaLexa that enables the systematic analysis and filtering of large volumes of Russian propaganda in the media space, including the identification of statements that may bear indicators of criminal offences. The presentation sparked interest among international experts and marked another step toward strengthening interdisciplinary dialogue between law, technology, and democratic institutions.

LingvaLexa continues to work at the intersection of law, technology, and civil society, implementing innovative approaches to human rights protection and ensuring accountability for international crimes. Participation in events such as the Political Tech Summit allows us to remain engaged in dialogue with the global community and to move forward in step with the times.
