LingvaLexa and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea: Practical Cooperation in the Investigation of International Crimes
The LingvaLexa team took part in a working meeting with the leadership of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, together with Ukrainian and international human rights organizations.
The meeting marked a continuation of our long-standing cooperation, within which LingvaLexa works alongside prosecutors on the investigation of war crimes and the practical application of international humanitarian law and international criminal law. In particular, this cooperation concerns cases related to the militarization and indoctrination of Ukrainian children in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, including those involving the so-called Krympatriotcenter and the regional Yunarmiya headquarters in Sevastopol, in which court verdicts have already been delivered.
As part of this cooperation, the LingvaLexa team has also delivered specialized trainings for prosecutors focused on the use of OSINT methodologies in the investigation of international crimes, the analysis of open sources, and the handling of digital evidence in line with international standards.
We highly value the opportunity to engage with a professional team open to expert dialogue and knowledge exchange. This format of cooperation strengthens practical approaches to ensuring accountability for international crimes.
We are grateful to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol for their trust and constructive cooperation. We firmly believe that sustained collaboration between state institutions and civil society is essential to ensure the inevitability of accountability for international crimes.
