Anna Vyshniakova Named Among Ukrainian Women in Law 2026
Anna Vyshniakova, Head of LingvaLexa, has been named among Ukrainian Women in Law 2026, a list compiled by Yurydychna Gazeta recognising women who have contributed to the development of law and society in Ukraine.
The list brings together women from across the legal community, including government officials, advocates, academics and human rights defenders who continue to advance Ukraine’s legal system amid the extraordinary pressures of Russia’s full-scale war.
This recognition highlights the importance of the work carried out by Ukrainian legal professionals who continue to investigate war crimes, reform institutions, align national legislation with international standards and advance accountability while the war is ongoing. Ukraine’s experience demonstrates that defending the country and upholding the rule of law are not mutually exclusive, and that justice remains an integral part of resistance.
Research into Russian propaganda is an important part of this work. Propaganda can be used to justify aggression, dehumanise Ukrainians and normalise international crimes. At LingvaLexa, Anna and the team document and analyse propaganda narratives, examining their links to international crimes and the potential relevance of this analysis to accountability efforts.
Anna’s inclusion in Ukrainian Women in Law 2026 recognises her professional contribution and brings attention to an area of work that matters for the protection of human rights, the rule of law and accountability for international crimes.
Congratulations to Anna and to all the women recognised this year!
